Route 10-Kampala-Mbarara-Kasese
This route takes you to the western part of the country. The western part of Uganda has several routes linking there simply because this region is referred to as “the Switzerland of Uganda”. This is due to the fact that most of the tourist attractions are found in this region.This route begins from Kampala and passes you through the districts of Masaka, Lyantonde unto L.Mburo national park where you can see a lot of animals lingering around. From here you will head to Mbarara town where you will have some refreshments and it is here that you will branch off to Ishaka-Bushenyi some of the other towns of this western region. Proceed to Kasese where you will get to Queen Elizabeth national park which also has a lot of animals and then also to mountain Rwenzori which is the country’s highest mountain. Various tourist attractions are done here which include; mountain climbing, nature walk, bird viewing and cultural village tours.
