Route 1-Entebbe-Kampala-Jinja route
Overview
This route begins from the country’s only international airport and proceeds up to Jinja district which is the proud home of the Magnificent R.Nile.This route will make you pass through the country’s capital city-Kampala and to the Eastern part of the country through districts like Mukono.This route will award you with several attractions like the sugar cane plantations of Lugazi,the vast Mabira forest,the sezibwa falls,Bujagali falls as well as the source of the Nile where you will enjoy activities like the boat cruise, water rafting, sport fishing and bungee jumping. Travel Plan
Day 1: Drive to Jinja
This is the first day of this kind of safari circuit and you will set off from Entebbe as early as possible having had your early morning breakfast. This early set off will help to manoeuvre Kampala traffic Jam especially on that Kampala-Jinja highway as soon as possible and by the time it intensifies at around 8:00pm you will be totally out of its reach. You will have branch off to Sezibwa falls and have some important photos here.Then you will proceed to Mabira forest where you will have a stop and make a short nature walk into this forest and have a look at the various flora and fauna. From here you will head to Lugazi town where you will stop for lunch and some refreshments. Then head to Jinja reaching late in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Rafting, Bungee jumping, boat cruise, birding & drive back.
On this day, one has a variety of activities to indulge into and most especially to combine with white water rafting. Here you will wake up very early in the morning and have a cup of tea. Then you will go for a half day water rafting on R.Nile.This activity will commence from 8:00 am to 1pm.From here you will go for lunch and some refreshments and then at 2pm you will go for one of the other activities like bungee jumping, boat cruise on the river or go for boat cruise along this great river. Then at around 4pm you will embark on the hired vehicle and drive back to Kampala reaching late in the evening and this will mark the end of this partial Eastern route.
