The moment one takes up this route, His eyes will feast on several attractions since this route will head to the South western part of the country. It begins from Kampala and takes you through the districts of Wakiso, Mityana, Mubende,Kyenjojo up to Fortportal.You will have some relaxation and then proceed southwards to the last district of Uganda-Bundibugyo towards the Congo border of Ntoroko.You will visit the semlik game reserve where you can do both day and night game drives. From here you will head to both male and female hot springs of Semlik and you will call it a memorable experience.
Itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Bundibugyo
This is the first day of this kind of route and you will rise up very early in the morning and have a cup of coffee. Then you will start on the drive to the south western part of the country through the districts of Wakiso, Mityana,Mubende kyenjojo until you get to Fort portal where you will have a stopover for lunch and some refreshments preferably at the Garden restaurant. Then you will proceed taking the road to Bundibugyo.You will branch off for a visit to Amaberega Nyinamwiru which is also a very enticing attraction. Then you will head to semlik national park reaching in the evening and just check in for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Game drive & Boat cruise
On this day, you will rise up very early in the morning and have a cup of tea. Then you will go for an early morning game drive to get a glimpse at the animals before they return to their dens from their night escapades. This game drive can go on up to around 10:00am .Then from here you will head to Ntoroko where you will have your lunch and then organise a boat on this water body. In the evening you will go for your dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Hot springs & drive to Kampala
You will wake up very early in the morning and have your breakfast. Then you will go and tour both the male and female hot springs that will leave you totally mesmerised. During this process of going to these hot springs, you will encounter several bird species and trees. From here you will embark on your drive back to Kampala and this will mark the end of this route.
